James Bond loves 'em, even if he usually leaves 'em. We love 'em too, and they remain fixed in our hearts and imaginations. The "Bond Girls" (somehow, "Bond Women" sounds too stuffy, even if more politically correct,) are a unique part of popular culture: part plucky heroine, part damsel-in-distress, part girl next door, part sultry siren. The best of them have wit and courage and verve enough to match old 007 himself. The worst of them, whom we'll not deal with here, tend to mostly just scream a lot and get easily captured by the bad guys. Though uniformly beautiful, very few are beautiful in the same way, and their beauty comes as much from their personality and character as it does from their winning the genetic lottery. From such an embarrassment of riches, the HMSS editors, and our guests, had to winnow down a mere ten selections each. Hard work, sure, but most rewarding. Here's how the votes came in:
